About sliding doors
Maximum glass. Minimum frame.
A sliding door is the right choice when the view matters most. Slim aluminium sightlines, large unobstructed glass panels, smooth operation — the cleanest visual of any door system, both inside and out. We fit Cortizo for the slimmest sightlines and largest sash dimensions, Origin for British-made aluminium with the longest guarantee, and Schüco where the project demands the German engineering benchmark.
Slim-sightline frames
The slimmest aluminium frames on the market — the maximum glass-to-frame ratio of any door system. Unobstructed views, maximum daylight.
Large unobstructed panels
Single sash panels up to 3m wide and 3m tall. Configurations from a simple 2-panel slider to 4 or 6-panel multi-track systems for very wide openings.
Smooth, secure operation
Stainless-steel running gear, multi-point hook locks, anti-lift technology, tested to the latest UK security standard. Glides open with one finger but secure when closed.
Triple glazed thermal performance
Triple glazing delivers warm year-round comfort. Performance matches the windows we install elsewhere on the house.

Configurations
From 2 panels to 6, single to multi-track.
The right configuration depends on the opening width, how you want the doors to stack when open, and where the structural support sits. We'll spec the right setup at survey.
2-panel single-track
One fixed panel, one sliding panel. Cleanest configuration for openings up to 3m wide. The most common spec.
3-panel double-track
Two fixed outer panels, one sliding centre panel — or two sliders meeting in the middle. Openings 3-5m wide.
4 or 6-panel multi-track
Multiple tracks let panels stack to one or both sides. Configurations from 4 to 6 panels for openings 5-8m+. Cortizo for very wide.

Common questions
What homeowners ask us about sliding doors
Sliding doors or bifold doors — which is right for me?
It depends on how you’ll use the opening. Sliding doors maximise glass and minimise frame — the right choice when the view matters most. Bifolds open up the entire wall in summer but show more frame when closed. A 3-panel slider gives you about 60% open; a 3-panel bifold about 90%. Rule of thumb: pick sliding if you spend more time looking through closed glass than walking through it. We have both in the showroom — come and feel the difference.
How much do sliding doors cost?
A 2-panel Origin slider typically runs £6,500–£10,000 fitted. A 3-panel Cortizo sits £8,500–£14,000. Larger 4-6 panel configurations and Schüco specs sit £15,000–£30,000+. Every price includes survey, structural lintel work if needed, FENSA registration, and our 10-year guarantee. Written quote in 48 hours.
Which brand should I choose?
Cortizo for the slimmest sightlines and biggest panels — the right spec when the glass is the architectural feature. Origin for British-made aluminium with the longest guarantee (20 years on the frame). Schüco where the project demands the German benchmark. We’re an approved installer for all three and we’ll recommend based on your property and the opening at survey. No pressure, no commission.
How long does installation take?
Most 2 or 3-panel installs take 1–2 days. Larger configurations or jobs needing lintel work run 2–4 days. We commit to dates in writing and our own fitters do every job — no subcontractors.
How secure are they?
Every brand we fit is tested to the latest UK security standard. Multi-point hook locks, anti-lift technology, internally glazed sealed units. You won’t find the lift-and-shift weaknesses or single-point locks of older patio doors in anything we install.
Are they wheelchair-friendly?
Yes — every brand has a low or flush threshold option. We’ll suggest the right one at survey based on your existing floor levels and how you want to use the doors.
